Frequently Asked Questions

Can I draw my own patterns in Pro-Q Panto Lite?

No, Pro-QPL is a utility program to let you print professionally drawn patterns. That is one reason that we sell the program WITH so many great designs.

By the way, if you are an experienced designer, chances are you already own many programs that would let you adjust the size of your designs and print them out.

How many computers can I install the program on?
Our End Users License Agreement has more details about this. Basically, you need to own the computers you install it on AND be the principle user of all those computers. You can only have the program running on one computer at a time. We will give you up to three unlock codes to use on your computers. Most users only use one for their main computer that is hooked to their printer. They reserve the others for future use - such as when they upgrade their existing system.
I have a longarm. What is best way for me to print pantos on my home printer?

While Pro-Q Panto Lite will tile print outs and number pages for easy assembly, it can sometimes be hard to tape together multiple rows. An easy way to avoid doing this is to use legal size paper for pantos over 10" high. Legal size paper is not overly expensive, is supported by most printers and will let you print pantos up to 13" high in a single row of paper.

Legal size paper used "landscape" can also significantly reduce the number of pages in a long pantograph.

Can I save my Layouts in Pro-Q Panto Lite?
Not at this time. In general, it is so fast to generate a panto that there is no need to save them. As we add more complex features, it may be that we will also add saving.
How many designs come with Pro-Q Panto Lite?
22 pattern sets, but some are multiple designs, so there are 26 designs in all. All the enclosed designs are rated for beginner to intermediate quilters.
How many additional designs are available for Pro-Q Panto Lite & how much are they?
There are about 50 new designs ready as of November 15th, 2007. There will be over 500 by January 1st, 2008. They will likely not be up on the website until December 1st. Design prices are set by the designer. Quiltrecipes.com will be offering designs from $2 up!
How do I prepare my designs to sell in Pro-Q Panto Lite format?
We convert any and all designs that are properly prepared for free. Designs need to be prepared in Pro-Q Designer. We have an easy series of specifications to follow.
