Some of the features below are NEW to PCQ Designer V4.0, but many are also improved versions of features contained in V3.0. We have noted this to assist existing users in identifying what might be helpful to them in particular:

• Help is a mouse or keyclick away! Use F1 for a popup hotkey menu, F2 to get a list of decimal to fraction conversions (to help you mark a quilt) or click on the "?" symbol for interactive help.
• IMPROVED - Digitize patterns to 1/1000th of an inch accuracy - 10 times that of the previous version. Patterns sew smoother and can be enlarged with less loss of detail.
• IMPROVED - Bridge Mode needs less clicks to accomplish a task such as tracing a pattern for digitizing.
• IMPROVED - Larger Preview display now fills your entire screen.
• NEW - PCQ Digitizer screen replaces "graphical makepattern" with full screen window for a larger editting area.
• NEW - Digitizer now lets you drag the edit area in the Overview image for better navigation control.
• IMPROVED - Digitizer now sports an intelligent cursor that will follow you as you pan the image - whether with hotkeys or the Overview image.
• NEW - Built in pixel eater thins "fat" lines in bitmaps in Digitizer.
• NEW - Outline feature of Digitizer traces silhouettes and monochrome graphic images with a single line of pixels.
• NEW - Digitizer's pixel and node editor lets you hold the mouse button down and drag to "paint" pixels. Colors are selectable by button or hotkey.
• IMPROVED - friendly error checking in Digitizer marks trouble spots and suggests how to fix them.
• IMPROVED - Digitizer now supports almost all Windows BMP formats and JPGs.
