How Do I Register My Copy of PCQ Designer?

Note - You cannot register the Trial version of the program. You must wait for your CD to register.

When you receive your CD-ROM, you should first install the software from the CD-ROM to your hard drive. When you insert the CD-ROM in your Drive, it should run automatically. If it does not, you need to click on the file called "PCQ_Designer_Version_40". When the menu opens, the first option that is displayed is to install the software. After you have installed the software you will be able to run PCQ Designer via your START menu. When you run the program you will see a dialog box appear that indicates the steps required to register your copy. There are three things that are required:

  1. A Username with which to register your program. This can be your name (preferred) or the name of your business (the software is in either case registered to only one person).
  2. The Registration number located at the bottom left of the dialog box.

  3. The number from the CD-ROM seal. Each CD-ROM is sealed with a numbered sticker. This number helps us reduce piracy.

    Click on the Support and Contact Link and choose Register. Fill out the Form and Click "Register". We will verify your order and reply with your Username and your Unlock Code. All that remains is for you to select the Register tab and type in your Username and Unlock Code being careful to type them in exactly as shown in the E-mail. Now click the "Load Data" button and your program will be fully registered. Please make a printout of your registration E-mail and keep it in a safe place. If your hard disk is damaged you may have to re-install your program and then re-enter your Username and Unlock code.

What Are the Tech Support Options?

One year of tech support comes with your PCQ Designer the first time you purchase it. "Free" upgrades do not extend your tech support. Tech Support hours are noon until 10pm central time, Sunday thru Thursday. We are closed Fridays and statutory holidays.

Many users find that our users group - http://groups.yahoo.com/pcq-designer is very helpful. You are welcome to post comments, questions and bugs there. We only request that if your issue requires attention by tech support that you call if recommended to do so.

I Design On a Different Computer - Can I Install PCQ Designer There Too?

PCQ Designer is licensed to you personally. you may install it on several computers providing that you are the only one that is using it.

How Do I Know I Have Bought a Licensed Copy?

Your copy of PCQ Designer should be sealed with a numbered sticker. If the seal is broken, it may be that someone has tried to register the disk already. We will require the number on the sticker when your register.

How Can I get Training on PCQD?

Ellen Munnich of Quiltrecipes.com who looks after our tech support offers an excellent PCQ Designer Classroom in a Box series. This is a great way to get to learn the product at your own speed. Each CIAB is complete with patterns, workbook and videos and features step by step lessons designed to help you learn the product in logical order! It is also a great help if you have forgotten how to do common tasks.
