System Requirements

Pro-Q Designer makes use of a Dongle that must remain plugged in while the program is running. Unplugging the Dongle will cause the program to close immediately. Please note that the software will not run on Windows 98 or ME. It is choice between being compatible with Vista or not!

NOTE - Pro-Q Designer on the MacIntosh: Users who are running Parallels or Bootcamp on the Mac will find that the Dongle will work on their system. However, at this time we do not specifically support Pro-Q Designer on the Macintosh.

The following are the minimum System Requirements for running Pro-Q Designer:

• IBM PC Compatible system running Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit versions supported), or Windows 8
  
• 1.5GHz Pentium with at least 2Gig of RAM
• 100Mb free disk space plus space for patterns and files you create!
• True color (16 bit) video or better.
• Display running at 1024 x 768 or larger.
• Internet connection for extended help.
• USB port.

The following are the recommended System Requirements for running Pro-Q Designer:

• IBM PC Compatible system running Windows 7 (64 bit version) or Windows 8
  
• 2.6GHz Dual Layer Pentium with at least 4Gig of RAM
• 100Mb free disk space plus space for patterns and files you create!
• True color (24 bit) video or better.
• Display running at 1280x1024 or larger (widescreen is great!).
• High Speed Internet connection for downloading videos in extended help.
• USB port.

Optional Equipment/Software:

• Printer for printing previews, file information, templates, etc.
• Scanner and software for processing images for digitizing.
• Professional quality vector drawing program for easier pattern creation (Corel Draw, Illustrator, AutoCAD, etc.)

It is important to realize that Pro-Q Designer stores all of the Patterns, Passes, Light Table and Undo Information in your computer's memory. Therefore, you will benefit greatly from having more memory!
